Josh Green launched CCM Energy in 2012 and manages the firm’s activities. Josh has over 14 years of experience in the energy industry, with an exclusive focus on investments in clean energy and low-carbon projects since 2003. Prior to founding CCM Energy, Josh co-founded and served as the CEO of Verdeo Group, a leading clean energy project developer acquired by Sindicatum Sustainable Resources in April, 2011. Over more than four years leading Verdeo, Josh took primary responsibility for the company’s strategy, fundraising and business development activity, as well as building and managing Verdeo’s team.
Before Verdeo, Josh was a Vice President and the Director, Latin America at Climate Change Capital, responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of low carbon and energy investments in Latin America for the firm’s $1 billion carbon fund. His professional career spans private equity, entrepreneurship, and strategy consulting, having served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, a $150 million clean energy fund; the Vice President of Latin America for Softbank Emerging Markets, a $250 million venture capital fund; and a Consultant to some of the leading utilities in South America with Monitor Group, a global strategy consultancy.
Josh holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Dartmouth College. He currently serves on the boards of Aircuity, Astrum Solar, Project Frog, and Skyline Innovations, and is a member of the Washington, DC regional advisory board of Teach for America. Josh was a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations from 2007-2012 and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
